Welcome to the PhoneSmart self storage blog where we offer a view on self storage trends in the self storage industry.We received an e-mail from a self storage site manager one day regarding a Role Play Helpline call. If you’re not familiar with what a Role Play Helpline call is, this should explain it:It’s a service that we offer in order to help self storage employees/managers with sales techniques. Our client’s can call into our Call Center and speak to one of our sales specialists about how to handle a concern or certain type of caller with a little more finesse. Our reps will role play whatever type of call scenario the manager prefers, and most of the time reversing the role so we can also critique their style and advise them of other possible directions to take the call.The manager called in for their monthly role play call and spoke to Carmen. They had this to say about her:
“…I (Deborah) just did the role play with Carmen. We both seemed to have enjoyed it. She and I both made it relaxing and not intense…”
“…And also she got me good. She pretended to have an incoming call…”
“…She helped me with selling points as well as telling me the good things I did….” “…Helping our customers should not be intense but should be enjoyable knowing that we are there when they need us and we have what they need…..”Carmen has been here at PhoneSmart with us for 1yr as of November 1, 2006. It’s amazing that she has only been with us for such a short time, as she has picked up so much in that short amount of time. She prides herself in giving excellent customer service and being thorough with her callers, not to mention sharing a laugh or two to take the edge off. Way to go Carmen!!!
