The Role play help line

Role playing is quite an experience. Employees from all over the country call to hone their skills with a call center rep. Sometimes there is an almost electric excitement as we match wits with a counterpart and offer our skills and experience to them. It is not a one way experience. I learn something new from every call as well. These callers are often highly skilled sales people and well versed in self storage. They are not always thrilled to be calling as they have a good closing percentage and perhaps feel there is no need. When I find myself role playing with someone in that mood I want to listen closely as there is often much to learn from them.
As we conclude the role play I can let them know that we are there for the times that they simply cannot get to the phone. Many times I have been in a customer service or sales company and was the only person on site. This makes it pretty hard to take care of walk in traffic and the phones.
