This self storage blog is about a great idea I have that I think will lead to sales increases.

All self storage facilities should have movers on staff. I usually get at least one call a day from a potential storage renter who needs movers as well as a storage unit. How much easier would it be for people if they only had to contact one company to get a storage space and someone to move their things into storage? Having movers on staff would also facilitate a great special to offer potential renters. Maybe something along the lines of “Free Movers With A Three Month Contract.” This sales technique would help convince the people who do not want to move their things themselves or  do not have the manpower or resources to move their items-to-be-stored.

A lot of places have specials that offer free truck rentals, but that deal encompasses a few problems. What if the renter does not have anyone to help him or her? Or what if they do not have the time to get the truck and go through the moving process? Having movers on staff would solve these problems, and would encourage more people to store at a particular location because of this convenience.
