I am trying to piece together all the info I am getting about this year’s demand and need you to fill in some blanks.

1. How has the demand and rental activity been for you this year? Better, worse, same. Why do you think it is this way?
2. Is the housing market good, bad or ugly in your area? How has it impacted your business, if at all?
3. Did the early Spring clock change impact your business at all? How?

Call Center Notes

Please make sure we have all of your stores on board.
If you have any stores that are not sending their missed calls to PhoneSmart, please get them set up very soon. We had a great weekend for reservation activity last week. You are missing rentals if we are not covering all your stores. We will get very busy and the sooner you get the stores set up, the sooner we can start sending reservations and leads.

Please make sure we have your store information correct.
Do we know all your features and names of your current staff? If you have not looked at your info on the phone-smart.net site lately, please do so and email us with any changes to lpollard@phone-smart.net .

Please be sure to give us frequent availability/ pricing/ spedials updates.
Especially if you are running low on a particular storage unit type/ size.

Updating our website
We are going to re-do the phone-smart.net site over the next few months and you will like the new speed and user friendly experience.

New reports
We are creating some new reports to help you see more details from your phone call and lead generation activity at PhoneSmart.

Software integration
We are also working towards further integration with your store management software in order to bring you service that is more efficient. Let us know if you are interested in doing this and we can work with your software provider to do further integration.

I thought that PhoneSmart had found a way to utilize every possible form of communication. The company has an inbound call center, an outbound call center, an email system for web leads, and extensive website, a newsletter, a magazine, and the ever-traveling Tron. Well, I was wrong. On Thursday I made a very strange outbound call. I called a fellow in California who had inquired about a storage unit online. He was very interested in renting from the location after I told him about the facility’s amenities, the availability of the units, and a few sample rates.

The call itself was odd because the man seemed a little uncomfortable during our conversation. Towards the end of our exchange, I figured out why. He was getting acupuncture while I was filling him with storage knowledge. He wanted to go see the facility when he was done, but he needed the address. He requested that I text message the address to him, and I did. I am a PhoneSmart team player.

So now all PhoneSmart needs is an outbound cell phone to text message information to potential tenants. It would allow the company to cover one more corner of the storage industry.
