He had never restored a classic car before, and knew he would not be able to go into much detail doing it. But he wanted to research and be knowledgeable about everything he could before starting on it, as he wanted to do as much of it himself as he could.

Ned found that there were many resources available to help him know what to do when restoring a classic car. Of course, many of them were for professionals or written by professionals, but many were also geared toward someone just like him. Ned began by inspecting his own classic car as thoroughly as he knew how. He made an extended list of the things he believed needed to be done with it and repaired or replaced.
