What Can You Store In Such Units
There is no restriction on what you can store in these types of storing units. Anything illegal whose possession is outside the law is of course disallowed. Items which are generally not recommended for storing in self storage facilities include perishable items and items which have enormous sentiment value to the renter. Perishable items can be stored in refrigerated facilities which are specifically designed for such products.
Items that cannot be replaced can include stamp and coin collections. Not only do such collections have significant value but are also irreplaceable if damaged. Damage can occur to items stored in a self storage facilities from factors outside of the control of the owner of the property. If there is an unexpectedly severe storm that blows off part of the roof the storehouse, goods placed in storing can be damaged from the resulting flooding. Insurance cannot take care of such eventualities. You might get a payout from the insurance company but you can never get your stamps back.
