Every week our supervisor in the call center puts together and prints an employee newsletter. This is to inform all representatives of the constant changes we need to be on top of. These newsletters contain subject headings such as birthdays and anniversaries, rules, tips, sales techniques; earn extra dough, and an employee spotlight. I really enjoy reading them. One can see the ways in which they can earn extra money outside of their normally scheduled hours. We stay up to date with current information and even get recognition for certain achievements. I myself got recognized for being one of the reps that has taken a lot of calls in one month. I took 1,113 calls. These include manager calls and calls resulting in no leading information for self storage. I was only 3 calls away from being in the top five people who have answered self storage calls for the month. It may seem a small thing to others but to me it is a good achievement because I have only been here 3 months. Many of the reps have been here for years. Our newsletters are good for them because they can track their progress also. We all know when it’s someone’s birthday or employment anniversary. We are like one big happy family. It’s great to be a part of such a wonderful place.
