One of our nationwide reservation lines attracts customers calling a well known cellular phone company. We are able to give them a number that may be of help to them but if they are not calling for the phone company, then occasionally we don’t have the storage facility location they are looking for on our screen. We must treat these customers as if they were going to rent with us anyway. We must try our best to find a facility that is convenient for them. The best thing we can do for these customers is to turn to other resources available. When there is not a facility available we try to locate something for them through our storage concierge service. The customer may become frustrated because we do not have information on hand at the time that they need it, and may not want us to search. If they do we must be patient with these customers because it may be an inconvenience for them that someone will have to call them back, rather than us just giving them the information over the phone. Try to search all available sources and if the customer denies this request, ask them if there is anything else that you can help them with and be pleasant.
