If we could choose to make peace with our employment situation, whether it is owning a business storage or a bakery, we give ourselves the wings with which we can lift ourselves towards what we really want to accomplish and we help others reach their goals along the way.

More than the actual job that we do every day, it is the attitude that we put into our jobs that determines what we get out of them. Of course we cannot always be smiley faced and cheerful, especially when life is throwing rocks at us, but when we have the attitude of gratitude for whatever rocks that life brings; in our working life, our social life and our personal, mental and spiritual lives as well, we can accept the gifts of the people that we come into contact with, even when those gifts may seem to be coming off as challenges.
 
How much time is spent wasted on grumbling about our work responsibilities? How often do you respond to the greeting How are you? with Oh, I am here. How many evenings end in a sense of dread for the next days work to begin? The fact is, if we decide that landscaping or Kansas City furniture storage scene is not the place that fulfills us and brings satisfaction into our lives, we can create better circumstances by focusing on what good things our jobs do bring us, rather than on what we hate about it.
 
The fact is, we focus more on working than we do on service, and that is where we are falling short in America today. Working is not the same as service, by any definition. If you spend all day on the phone lining up Kansas City furniture storage clients for appointments and contract signings, but you do it only for the paycheck at the end of the week, you are only fulfilling part of the bargain, and it affects more than the customers.

Choosing to be of service, rather than just performing a standard task, raises the bar, enticing you to try harder, or at least to make a concerted effort, to make someone elses life better while you are interacting with them. Touching lives in this way means living with intention. When you go through life intending to be of service to others, life rewards you with other people being in service to you. It is a magical formula, a secret to happy working conditions, and all it takes is a pioneering spirit and a desire to serve
