July Is Booming

I am glad that the self storage industry is busy right now. A few months back I had surgery on my shoulder and was unable to work for a period of time.  Then when I did get back to the PhoneSmart call center I got sick with a very bad upper respiratory virus.  If that wasn’t bad enough then I had an accident in my home a week ago and had to miss a couple of days work.  Now I have not been very steady throughout our busy season for various reasons but now that I have recovered (hopefully for good!!!) I have been a very busy person here in the call center.  It’s July and I have found that July is a very good month for self storage.  Even though I missed the beginning of the busy season with my sickness it has brought about a change I have done extremely well this last week as far as reservations are concerned.  I believe around even the Fourth of July we weren’t as busy as we are now, which is a good thing for the self storage industry. Since I haven’t been able to be here and am just now seeing the boom in storage.  Whatever is happening I hope the trend stays the same and does not change for a while, since I missed a lot of reservations while I was gone. The self storage industry as a whole seems to have gotten a little more popular as well for just odds and ends and not just furniture anymore.  I get a lot of calls for people looking to store their winter clothes or vice versa! There are several reasons that we are now getting a little bit busier but whatever the reason and whatever the need I hope we can still be here to serve the self storage industry as it grows and grows.
