At the Phonesmart call center we take calls for a variety of self storage facilities and we like to make a note to the manager about how the caller heard about their self storage facility.
Asking the question, how did you hear about us, with us being the self storage facility that the caller is calling, has three benefits:
1. It helps the call center by allowing us to build rapport or even a conversation starter to get the caller to talk about how they heard about the storage facility.
2. The facility store managers benefit from this question as it helps them by allowing them to build rapport as we would do in the call center; or even give the managers an opportunity to ask about the customer service that they received from the representative that helped them.
3. The corporate office of this storage facility should want to know how an individual heard about their self storage location. This will help them know where their marketing dollars should go.At the call center, answering this question is important so that the information will be tracked properly and will allow the managers and marketing team the ability to adjust advertising needs.
