Dying Cell Phones
-
In this day and age pretty much everyone has a cell phone. A lot of people don’t even have a land line anymore. I had a very nice gentleman call in to the call center to inquire about storage. Of course I went through my script and went for the sale. As soon as I quoted him a price and offered him the special he was very pleased and wanted to reserve the unit with me. I got his name and number and then he informed that his phone was dying soon and we should hurry it up. I got his email address and he began to give me the credit card number. Of course, about after the second number the call dropped. I’m was sitting there like, NO! I had already dazzled this person with my sales techniques and had him right where I wanted him. I tried calling him back on the number he’d given me, but of course it went straight to voicemail. To make matters worse, his voice mailbox was full and I’m pretty sure he didn’t remember my name. I couldn’t process the reservation and had to send it as a hot lead. I don’t know if he just never got to a charger that day or if somebody else took the sale, but I never heard back from him again.
