Don’t Forget About the Free Truck

A lot of the stores that we, at the PhoneSmart call center, take are those that offer a free truck for new customers or tenants to use. I will be the first to admit that I sometimes forget to mention the free truck (I definitely need to fix that). During a few of the calls, I made a conscious effort to remember it and some of the callers actually became more interested after they heard about it. If you think about the numbers, the free truck can really offset some of the costs associated with self storage. For instance, if you are storing quite a few items you will definitely need a truck to transport those items over to the actual self storage unit. And then there is the actual cost of the unit itself. Then, of course, there are the additional fees such as the administration fee and the cost of the lock. Those things can add up too. However, the stores that offer the truck for customers to use are doing them a huge favor by cutting out a chunk of those costs. I always like to point that out to the customer, especially in the cases where the store or the unit is not running a move in special. For those calls, the free truck becomes the move in special. It definitely never hurts to let them know.
