Clarity With Austin Storage
-
There are only 24 hours in a day. How we spend those moments determines our personal contribution to the world that we inhabit. Contributions are like gifts, and can include acceptance and forgiveness. Empathy for another person and their pain is a contribution. Joy for someone else’s gain is a contribution. Each expression, whether positive or negative, goes out into the world and creates energy. It is up to us to determine how we will contribute to others through our own actions and our own attitudes.
Jackson was choosing to allow the stress in his life to completely overtake him. He was bitter and angry that he was having to put forth the effort to find a new home. Jackson was allowing his exasperation to affect him in all the wrong ways. While he was out looking for a new apartment, he had an epiphany of sorts. It happened while he was in a convenience store, grabbing a bottle of iced tea and a candy bar. He found himself at the checkout counter, complaining to the clerk about his bad day and all of the stress that he was under to find a new home.
Looking down, he noticed a donation canister to his left. On it was a picture of a small girl of about 5 who had leukemia. Her name was Ariana. She was a beautiful child, but the illness that had ravaged her body had taken its toll. She had no hair, she was confined to a hospital bed with all manner of tubes and needles sticking out of her, and yet, she was smiling. Her smile was pure and in that instant, Jackson’s heart melted. Suddenly he realized that his struggle, was minuscule compared to what this brave, young girl was going through. He left the store a changed man, but not before he stuffed twenty dollars into the canister to help the angelic young girl and her family.
Jackson spent the rest of the day looking to find Austin storage for rent. He was no longer anxious or stressed out. He was re-energized by the realization that finding Austin storage for rent and putting all of his things in there for a while would give him so much more freedom to really find what he was meant to do with his life. He was thinking about taking his vacation and traveling, hooking up with old friends and family, and making new connections, too. While he was scanning the Internet to find Austin storage for rent, he thought again about Ariana. Her smile and the love in her eyes kept him focused. It reminded him that his life was not meant to be one big, stressful experience. It was meant to be lived with love and with joy. He was feeling that joy now, remarkably, as he signed a lease for temporary Austin storage for rent at a nearby facility. His mind was racing with possibilities. By the end of the afternoon, he was at home again, calling up all of his old friends, reconnecting with people that he had not spoken with in years.
In a split second of clarity, standing at a check-out counter with a chocolate bar in his hand, Jackson had received a very valuable message; that life is far too precious and miraculous to be frivolously wasted on negativity and insignificant drama. By the end of the month, as he loaded all of his belongings into Austin storage for rent, he was well on his way to becoming happier and more peaceful than he had ever been.
