Building Value In Your Store
-
Picture this: two self storage facilities sit just block from one another. You can see the other guy’s sign from your own office door. You know you each offer the same price on unit sizes. And you wonder to yourself how you’ll ever reach your rental quota and get that bonus.
Here is a sure fire technique that will have self storage searchers coming through your door and not the other guy. It’s simple and only takes a few seconds. Are you ready?
Tell your customers about your amenities. There it is, that’s it. The best thing you can do to increase rentals is build value in your facility. Make your business stand out in the minds of your customers. Here’s a good example of what you can say:
Let me tell you a little about the great security we have here. We have an access controlled gate so that only tenants may enter the property. The property is under video surveillance so you can feel safe putting your belongings here. And the onsite manager is always here to help.
If you’re serious about renting more units, you can juice this little technique up even more by using it before you give the price. Doing so will put pictures of Fort Knox and extreme worth in the customer’s mind. Now, when you tell them the price, they’ll feel as though they’re getting a deal for all those amenities and security you offer.
