A group of friends in the Kansas City community decided that it would be great if they would go to the same school. Naturally they wanted to all live together and be together so why wouldn’t they decide to get their own apartment? This way they could still hang out and share the costs of going to school. Of course, living on campus and being a freshman is hard. With this idea of living together it was a smart idea. Now the group of friends had to really decide on where they wanted to live and not hurt what each other wanted to do with their college lives.

Just like most colleges, the freshman class has to live on campus until their sophomore year.  So even though the boys were at the same school they did not have the opportunity to live with one another. It was definitely a year that was tougher than expected. They go through this difficult year of not being with each other all the time and they were looking forward to the time in which they could all live together. Since the first year was tough, they wanted to lean on each other in the future for support. As sophomores, they will have the opportunity to do so. They can now start looking for an apartment.

It was now moving day and all the boys brought things from home that they recently bought because they wanted their apartment to be like home. Well everyone seemed to think they would be able to bring their own things with them. This couldn’t happen of course. They were all friends and had similar interests but they were still different in terms of their tastes.  They did not want to haul all of their stuff back home so they thought they could get into Kansas City storage units. For as long as he can remember Peter, and his little brother John, have not gotten along. In fact they had such a hard problem getting along that they could not even live on the same floor of their house. Their parents had to split them up constantly and even threatened to send them to boarding school. So the brothers at times just tolerated each other just so they wouldn’t get sent off. That was easier said than done. Their parents really didn’t know what to do with their boys when they were younger. It took a lot of effort in order to make their parents happy.

The good thing is that when the brothers got older they started to get closer. There was no real reason that they grew closer, since they were still years apart. The brothers just started to respect one another and the things they brought to each other’s lives. They began to hang out with each other and talk to one another. They eventually started to interact as real brothers should and have each other’s backs. When one was down, the other tried his best to pick them up. When someone tried to bother one brother, they bothered both brothers. For this reason, they got into many fights but at least these fights were because they were fighting together.

There were many things that that Peter and John did together as they got older. They were basically inseparable. The good thing about being the younger brother is that Peter actually got to see the mistakes that John made, so he didn’t make the same mistakes. That went for so many things in their lives such as relationships and also trying to move away from Olathe. Because of John, Peter did not make a mistake on where to store. It is definitely hard being a single mom in any city. Being in a large city as Lenexa can be even more difficult because there is so much going on. For everyone that knew Leroy he was a very competitive person. He did not like to lose, nor would he except losing. They just closed their eyes a lot.

With the summer approaching, Leroy overhead some of his closest friends talking about going to summer camp. He was so excited, but he had to ask his parents for permission before going. They agreed that summer camp would be a good thing for him to do for the summer and signed the permission sheet. It would be first time that Leroy was leaving Leawood in a while.
