PhoneSmart’s new Feedback Secret Shops are seeing excellent results. In a Feedback Secret Shop, the mystery shopper reveals that they are a secret shopper and then goes into an instant sales training and coaching session with the self storage manager.
The benefits of this real time training is that managers are ready to improve their sales presentation at the very next call. There’s no more waiting a month or two before the manager sees the score and suggestions of an outdated mystery shop.
The managers on the receiving end of our Feedback Shops often comment that they are glad someone is helping them with their phone sales. In fact, some managers actually thank our shoppers for being their secret shopper.
This is a huge turnaround from how mystery shopping was formerly received by self storage managers. It was easy for a mystery shopping provider to look like the bad guy, but now managers are able to relate to our shoppers and ask them questions if they don’t understand an area of the evaluation form.
And because managers actually like being mystery shopped, that attitude makes the service even more effective and brings about a sales increase.
